About Us

RPM'rs Shelly and David Sherfey sell residential real estate locally in the Hudson Valley region of New York, Rockland, Orange amd Westchester Counties. We've been practicing real estate full time since 2001. We market real estate anywhere the English language is spoken.

We work under the umbrella of Keller Williams Realty, presently the fourth largest real estate company in the US, but more importantly; They allow us, and encourage us, to establish our own distinct business identity separate from the Keller Williams national brand. After all, it is the agent who does all the work in this business, NOT the company, contrary to what many think. KW likes agents who treat their real estate practice as a business, and we like that.

We are a husband and wife team, with a family that is now out of the house and almost through college, and as a result we now have no family distractions to keep us away from our work…. Prior to going into real estate we both worked elsewhere for 30 years, with much of that time in the corporate world, with customers over our careers from the Beach Boys to Toyota, products from vitamins to concert sound equipment, and we have the work-ethic mentality that goes along with all of that experience.

Skilled in thinking things through completely

Once we learned all that the real estate industry had to teach us, it was clear that there were a few things missing. At some point we made a directional change in our real estate practice, reaching back into our past experience to bring a strong marketing approach into the foreground of what we offer to our sellers. It is not unusual for us to spend two weeks on a marketing product for a seller. Sellers understanding the value and effect of great marketing seek us out.

The secret of our success

We interview and listen to our sellers. People turning loose of their home speak emotionally about it and we hear what it means to them. We translate this into the value and lifestyle buyers are looking for. We stick to the statistics of the market we are in - we listen to the market and act on it - avoiding the false "opportunities" and staying with the truth. We are also process focused, down to the gnat's eye. There are many layers of real opportunity within the real estate process of attraction - and we exploit it all.
